Check out the 1st Webinar of the Northern Food Network

Northern Food Network hosted their first bi-monthly webinar on  Monday, February 27th, and it featured Dawsonite Dexter MacRae   from Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Teaching and Working Farm, as well as Kukik Baker  and her team, from Arviat Wellness in Arviat, Nunavut. Dexter MacCrae presented an overview and photos of the TH Working Farm School in Dawson City, Yukon. Kukik Baker, of the Arviat Wellness Centre presented photos and descriptions of some of their inspiring initiatives in Arviat and the success these initiatives have had in increasing interest in harvesting and consuming food from the land in their community. Kukik also presented the tremendous youth involvement in their initiatives!
