Meet the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in

The Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in are the backbone of Dawson City, Yukon having  lived, hunted and fished on this land, their traditional territory, for thousands of years.  Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in are one of the first self-governing First Nations in Canada – they have been self-governing since 1998!   If you come to Dawson, be sure to visit Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre for  more stories and information about the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in past and present.
