Suzanne is thrilled to be able to have some locally grown flour for her year of eating local, thanks to Otto and Conny at Kokopellie Farm in Sunnydale, Dawson, Yukon.

Kokopellie Farm has successfully grown barley and rye and Otto has rigged up an electric grinder to turn some of their grains into flour.
Rumor has it that Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Working Farm School will also be experimenting with growing local grains in Dawson this summer.
Now Suzanne needs to learn how to make sourdough bread.
